International Air Show MAKS-2009 Results

The IX International Aerospace Show took place in Russia from 18 till 23 August 2009. The total volume of all business contracts and agreements signed during the airshow amounts to over £6 billion which exceeds previous results of 2007 (over £3 billion) and 2005 (£2 billion).

The Russian Ministry of Defence agreed to purchase 48 SU-35S, 12 SU-27SM and 4 SU-30M2 military fighters till the end of 2011 following their modernisation plans of the Russian Air Force. Civil aviation industry have also confirmed several contracts for delivery of civil aircraft including TU-204SM and Sukhoi Superjet 100.
